Step-by-step radio code guide

Radio Code Help Guide

Learn how to find your radio serial number, place a safe order, enter the code correctly and avoid SAFE-mode mistakes.

How to find the radio serial

Check the fitted radio label first. Some units can also show the serial with button shortcuts, but the physical label is the safest source for order checks.

  1. 1Try the button shortcut only if your radio model supports it.
  2. 2Photograph the label if the unit has to be removed.
  3. 3Send the serial exactly as printed on the fitted unit.

How to order safely

Select the brand, enter the fitted-unit serial, add your email and complete secure checkout. The estimated delivery time is shown before payment.

  1. 1Choose Volkswagen, Audi, Skoda, SEAT or Cupra.
  2. 2Enter the serial and any requested screen or label evidence.
  3. 3Receive the supported code by email after lookup.

How to enter the code

Most classic VAG radios use preset buttons to set the four digits, then a confirm button. Touchscreen units may use an on-screen prompt.

  1. 1Set each digit carefully before confirming.
  2. 2Stop if the radio rejects the code or changes screen state.
  3. 3Contact support before making repeated attempts.

SAFE mode and support

SAFE or SAFE 2 usually means the radio is locked after power loss or wrong attempts. Waiting rules vary by unit, so avoid guessing.

  1. 1Keep the unit powered if it is in a timed lockout.
  2. 2Do not enter random codes.
  3. 3Use support if the display does not match the guide.
