How to Get Your SEAT Radio Code — Leon, Ibiza, Ateca Guide

SEAT Radio Code System

SEAT vehicles, manufactured by the Spanish arm of the VAG group, share the same radio code technology as VW, Audi, and Škoda. Your SEAT radio serial number starts with SEZ and is the key to generating the correct unlock code.

Finding Your SEAT Serial Number

  1. Button method: Press and hold buttons 1+6 for 3-5 seconds on the radio.
  2. Physical label: Remove radio unit and read the SEZ serial on the housing label.

SEAT Radio Systems

SEAT uses branded versions of VW group radio systems:

  • Media System: Standard touchscreen unit in modern Leon, Ibiza, Arona
  • Navi System: Navigation variant with GPS maps
  • Full Link System: Latest connectivity system with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto
  • Easy Connect: Entry-level system

Older SEAT models (pre-2015) may use VW-branded systems (RCD 310, etc.) with the same SEZ serial format.

Supported SEAT Models

All SEAT models supported: Ibiza (6K, 6L, 6J, 6F), Leon (1M, 1P, 5F, KL), Altea (5P), Toledo (1M, 5P, KG), Alhambra (7N), Ateca (KH), Arona (KJ), Tarraco (KN), Mii, Exeo, and Cordoba.

SEAT Radio Code Entry

Code entry follows the standard VAG method: preset buttons 1-4 for each digit, hold right arrow or OK to confirm. SAFE 2 lockout rules apply (60 minutes wait after 3 wrong attempts).

SEAT Factory in Spain

SEAT vehicles are manufactured in Martorell, Spain. The radio code system is calibrated at the factory and the code is permanently linked to each radio unit's serial number. Whether you drive a SEAT in Spain, Germany, the UK, or anywhere else worldwide, the code retrieval process is the same.
