How to Get Your Škoda Radio Code — Octavia, Fabia, Superb Guide

Škoda Radio Code System
Škoda, as a VAG group brand, uses the same anti-theft radio code technology as Volkswagen and Audi. When your Škoda's battery is disconnected, the radio locks and requires a code. Škoda radio serial numbers start with SKZ.
Finding Your Škoda Serial Number
- Button method: Press and hold buttons 1+6 for 3-5 seconds. The serial (SKZ...) will appear on display.
- Physical label: Remove the radio with extraction keys and read the sticker on the housing.
Škoda Radio Systems
- Swing: Entry-level radio in Fabia and base Octavia models
- Bolero: Mid-range system, most common in Octavia, Rapid, Yeti
- Amundsen: Navigation system with GPS. Found in Superb and upper-trim Octavia
- Stream: Basic system found in older Fabia and Roomster models
- Columbus: Premium navigation system in Superb and Kodiaq
Supported Škoda Models
All Škoda models are supported: Octavia (1U, 1Z, 5E, NX), Fabia (6Y, 5J, NJ), Superb (3U, 3T, 3V), Rapid (NH), Yeti (5L), Kodiaq (NS), Karoq (NU), Scala (NW), Kamiq, Roomster, and Citigo.
Code Entry
Škoda radios use the same code entry method as VW: preset buttons 1-4 to set each digit, then hold the right arrow or OK button to confirm. If "SAFE 2" appears, wait 60 minutes with the radio on.
